Taking its name from Balmain’s inaugural year, this 1945 shoulder bag is crafted from cotton-blend canvas and woven with a labyrinth monogram jacquard that compounds the archival references – the pattern is inspired by the foliage of French Renaissance gardens and first debuted in 1970 at the opening of the Madison Avenue store.
